has spent 20+ years in sales and marketing food ingredients. As National Sales Manager at Archer Daniels Midland Co. he was responsible for delivering revenues across Canada and handling strategic customers in the US. Leon successfully promoted ADM’s line of plantbased solutions to processed meat and meat alternative manufacturers across North America. Previously, Leon spent 9 years in R&D, starting his career in the applications labs and rapidly becoming Technical Manager, responsibilities included managing the division’s R&D and technical services efforts. During this time, the department developed, scaled up production and commercialized numerous wheat-based products servicing the food industry globally.

Dieter Thiem (CEO & Co-Founder)

has 40+ years of experience and successfully initiated and managed multiple food startup businesses. Recent initiatives focus on bringing affordable, high-quality vegetarian products to the world. In North America, Dieter’s innovation and production optimization services have helped numerous brand owners. Dieter was President of Flora Protein meat alternatives manufacturing company. Dieter led Flora Protein from startup phase to profitability, Flora Protein was extremely successful and sold to Garden Protein, owners of Gardein brand.
